Interesting announcement dropped this morning from SMI.............I would say they are encouraging results from the 'initial visual inspections' at least............projects with possible massive Ni sulphide potential are 'popular' these days. However, CV19 related delays and timeline push-backs are punishing many a good announcement................

    • completed drilling intersected two styles of sulphide mineralisation: structurally controlled and more importantly, massive layered sulphide mineralisation.

    • The layers of massive sulphide ranged from 1cm to 1m thick, with intersections including 11m from a depth of 92m for hole PLDD006, and 32m from 106mfor PLDD008.

    • visual sulphides were evident from the outset of the program and have validated and now enhanced our understanding of the structural geology provided by previous trenching and IP activities

    • the program did end on a high note with strongly visible massive sulphide mineralisation encountered over material widthsin PLDD008, leaving us excited about the pending assay results and strongly encouraged to return to complete the program upon COVID-19 restrictions being lifted.

Might see some buying interest generated from today's ann.....................but then again who can say...............mostly I see results being sold into these days, sustained value buying is 'off the menu' mostly in the current climate it seems.

However, LEG and CHN have seen some very solid action in the Nickel Sulphide space recently. So perhaps SMI is a 'slower boat' in the space.......
