Weekly Fundamental and Technical Analysis Prospects - Week Starting 10th Mar 2014 (No. 105)
Here’s this week’s FA and TA List. The newer items first and those carried forward from last week towards back of list (some of the items from last week have a time horizon of more that one week).
All listed market caps are undiluted (and do not include escrowed shares) (Note: Max time for any entry on list will be 4 weeks after which time it will be removed).

Important Note: Remember just because it appears on the list does not necessarily mean it will rise in price... it may actually fall or do nothing. So it is critical that you perform detailed research on each stock first and make your own mind up to whether invest or not. I suggest you run a stop-loss at all times when trading/investing. How tight your stops are depends on your threshold to risk and financial pain. Lastly I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided as I do not have the time to research all the facts that have been provided. Best of Luck.!

    Weekly Fundamental Analysis Prospects

    MTH - Nickel, Copper, Gold,
    10/03/2014

Market Cap - $4m @ 1.6cShares on issue - 250mOptions on issue - all way out of the money, Cash balance - around $1.5mEV - $2.5mMajor shareholders - Lion Selection Group, Consolidated Minerals, Minotaur. The Company is actively exploring throughout two highly prospective areas of Western Australia, namely the Meekatharra District for copper-gold (Meekatharra Copper Projects), and the Kambalda District for gold and Nickel (West Kambalda Project Area). While they have quite a few exciting projects, yesterday's announcement has led them to prioritize an EM survey on Kambalda where they were focusing on gold but have discovered some historical high grade nickel drills. Dare I say it - this feels like the run up to SIR which took off after their EM survey in 2012. MTH's grades are far higher than SIR's initial hits. I fully understand MTH's sudden decision to prioritize this project despite having other exciting ones. Near term newsflow (this month):1. EM survey is underway at Kambalda. I expect a run up in price in anticipation of a positive result. Any such result should put a rocket under the share price. Considering the location, previous drill results and low market cap - I expect a major re-rating from here.2. Meekatharra Copper projects

    ANO - Biotech ,
    10/03/2014

Antisense Therapeutics Limited (MCap = $24m) Australian biopharmaceutical drug discovery and development company due to release a steady flow of information over the next 6 months. Received approval for a Proof of Concept trial late Jan 14 designed to confirm the potential of ATL1102 Stem Cell Mobilisation (SCM). The development of ATL1102 for the SCM application will be a relatively inexpensive and quick clinical program given it is to be an acute treatment of 1 week drug administration. This adds another key project value inflection point, along with those for ATL1103 for acromegaly and ATL1102 for Multiple Sclerosis, anticipated by the Company within the next 6 months. Will most likely need to raise funds in the not too distant future, probably as results come to hand > possible pump in SP depending on the underwriters etc etc

GRR - Iron ore producer in Tasmania ,
    3/03/2014

Grange announced its half yearly on Friday, which had a small attraction of a 1c dividend, 1c special dividend, and total forecast of 3c for the year. Has been a divi payer since 2011. At current prices is equal to a >10% yield excluding sp appreciation. FA trigger. Cashed up with +$150mil and solid contracts in place. Ex div date is 12 march so expecting yield hungry players to drive price back up to levels of 2 years ago. Further drops in Aud will not only offset I/O price drops, but also act as good catalyst for further efficiency gains in aud. Grange has an iron ore project 8x current size of taz mine, in WA. Southdown appears to have a $0 price attached to this asset in current sp. Asset backing per security is $0.62 so current prices on all above would appear a real bargain. PDN - Uranium producer (Namibia & Australia),
    3/03/2014

Uranium stocks are deserving a long overdue recovery after Japan's nuclear disaster in March 2011.PDN is the worst performed U stock with a 90% loss over last three year's period even after 37% recovery from its 52 week's low. Billionaire George Soros’s Top 3 Canadian Stock Picks By Robert Baillieul - February 28, 2014 CamecoIt’s difficult to see any reason to be bullish on the uranium market. Following Japan’s Fukushima disaster three years ago, uranium prices remain in the doldrums and most industry operators are bleeding money. Yet this fact hasn’t discouraged Soros. Last quarter he added to his position in uranium mining giant Cameco (TSX:CCO)(NYSE:CCJ) by 42%. Today, Soro’s total stake is worth $55.4 million. Why would anyone be bullish on the uranium market? Commodity expert Rick Rule told the Motley Fool Canada earlier this month that the uranium mining industry cannot recover its cost of capital at current commodity prices. That means either prices have to rise or the lights go out. Today, low quality outfits are closing down projects and scaling back production. And this creates the very conditions needed for higher prices in the future. Once this situation plays out, higher quality operators like Cameco stand to make a fortune as they have the financial strength needed to weather the storm.

About Techniche---- delivers value to shareholders by investing in profitable technology companies that improve business performance. We employ an active management approach by working with and incentivising management, to successfully grow the businesses organically and via strategic acquisitions. Then just over six month later on 6th Feb: Half year to December 2013 NPAT is $1.5-$1.6 million. If second half is the same as first half, then NPAT for Full Year will be $3 million instead of the $1.5m announcement in September 2013. That is 100% improvement in just a short time frame. Business must be growing fast.2014/2015 should be even better. .Company’s policy is to start paying regular dividend of approximately 25% of its after tax profit. TCN is not only a growth company but also paying dividend. Way too cheap under 10c.Directors bought heaps on market. Now, It was expected that the final half year report was meant be published in the third week of February, at which time a more detailed update on the results will be provided, as well as updated guidance for the full year. There was a run up in share price, pushing through the 10cent resistance level in anticipation for this report. Late sell off today after no announcement. I'm having a stab the report will be out next week and be a blinder. To reiterate......anything under 10cents is a bargain imo. In the right space at the moment and low to no debt.

TAS - Mineral exploration Cu-Au-Ag-U IOCG South Australia,
    24/02/2014

he company has provided many great trading opportunities over the years with the excitement and disappointment of drilling their Vulcan prospect north of Olympic Dam (OD).The company has had plenty of technical successes confirming all of the relevant IOCG OD type alteration, mineralisation and metal zonation but without the success of a discovery. The trading opportunity comes of the back of Rio Tinto handing down the decision to continue on to the next phase of exploration which would entail a 25 million dollar spend over the next 3 years. Given that the company has spent 5 million in the last year and a bit and managed to drill 8 holes a spend of 25 million would result in 40 holes being drilled over 3 years. Here are some reasons why I feel confident that Rio will continue with the farm in. As a major mining firm Rio Tinto is lacking in regards to large Greenfields copper plays compared to its peers and especially BHP. They have a number of large mines most of which they are a part owner in but little in the way of the ability to expand production. Of these there is the La Granja, Resolution and OT underground production/expansion plays. Given the company's focus on underground block cave operations especially in the case of Resolution and the opening of their block cave training research and training centre at the UNSW it would seem that the company is very much looking towards large underground bulk operations to sure up future production. According to TAS ann 24/01/2014 the company should get an answer from RIO within 60 days putting the cut-off at the 25/03/2014.

    CZZ - Copper in Chile,
    20/02/2014

Reborn in 2013 with a new board and new focus, this company is now a Copper explorer with significant copper projects in Chile. They had 80m shares on issue and recently completed a capital raising, issuing 350m shares at 1c. So they have decent cash to drill with. Stats: Cash - approx $1.8m at 31 Dec Market cap - $3mShares on issue - 424m and no stupid low options :)Results due any day from the Resguardo prospect which is a copper porphyry project. Previous small scale high grade (2%+ copper) mining had occurred here and they are now sinking 2 x 250m holes vertically into the breccia pipe. What will happen if they announce good lengths of high grade copper I wonder? Is there a good chance of this based on the previous mining here and the fact that this is a breccia pipe? I think so. Will they find good grades then go deeper into the actual porphyry with diamond drilling? I hope so. They’ve stated that chalcopyrite and bornite is evident underground here. In addition to Resguardo they are currently diamond drilling a large geophysical anomaly at the Posada copper project, again results will be due soon.IMO big potential for some great results in the short term and little downside given the EV. 424m shares on issue is not too bad given they've completely changed the company. IMO $3.5m raised shows a pretty high level of confidence. Currently under the radar but with some shares available to buy now less than the recent raise. IMO liquidity will improve with price increases.
