LNU sure has some fancy wording. I had no idea that digital video had DNA. Does this mean we have to worry about ethical treatment of video files? Or is it more like the DNA of non-sentient cellular life?

It is also worrying that videos can be split like an atom - can this be used for generation of energy, does it have an implication for current battery chemistries, and in the wrong hands could it even be used to wipe out cities?

On a more serious note, their core patent talks about a reference file that refers to existing video formats and other data sources. Sounds like rather than change the original file they are creating new files that contain information about the original files and allow the provider to weave parts of original files together (e.g. ads, subtitles, different video containers depending on device). To my layperson's mind this means more 1's and 0's being transmitted rather than less.

Their statement 'Linius is the only company that turns video into data' is also rather strange.
