Weekly Fundamental and Technical Analysis Prospects - Week Starting 11th Mar 2013 (No. 56)

Here’s this week’s FA and TA List. The newer items first and those carried forward from last week towards back of list (some of the items from last week have a time horizon of more that one week).
All listed market caps are undiluted (and do not include escrowed shares) (Note: Max time for any entry on list will be 4 weeks after which time it will be removed).

Important Note: Remember just because it appears on the list does not necessarily mean it will rise in price... it may actually fall or do nothing. So it is critical that you perform detailed research on each stock first and make your own mind up to whether invest or not. I suggest you run a stop-loss at all times when trading/investing. How tight your stops are depends on your threshold to risk and financial pain. Lastly I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided as I do not have the time to research all the facts that have been provided. Best of Luck.!

SXT - Nickel and Copper in WA,
    11/03/2013

They have found supergene nickel and copper at surface east of Menzies and are working up a drill program to commence shortly, in any event it running on the big names involved and the prospect just now so could be very good imo

RIA - Oil and gas explorer in West Africa,
    11/03/2013

ialto is a much unloved explorer after some less than optimum results from drilling in a proven area .However all bottoms come in eventually and I believe it is in for them . Catalyst for the run up back to some semblance of true value is market interest in the upcoming huge Ghana drill .... and its , so far unfunded , two or three drill high impact campaign in CDI . A farmout must be very close and there is not much time for things to happen before the drilling begins . This is a very oversold stock about to turn the corner IMO . Even a CR of a quite significant amount would likely be done at a premium to its current SP . Not for the faint hearted as it has really disappointed in the last year .

HLX - Copper gold minerals explorer,
    11/03/2013

Many JV'ed minable projects on the books but near term price mover is exploration of the copper rich Blanko Y Negro project in Chile. I’ve put a lot of info on Geology Thread and HLX thread but in short they have a 20m for 2%cu and 1g/t gold intersection from the first hole drilled which has just clipped the top of the supergene blanket and returned 50cm of 20% cu and 10g/t gold with some moly at the end of the mineralised section. Detail mapping currently in progress and DHEM to be done in about 2 weeks with a 2000m drill program to follow. There in elephant country so who know, might be big.Creasy's the major shareholder, massively undervalued imo with some exciting stuff coming up.

NXR - Iron ore in Guinea Africa,
    11/03/2013

Have discovered hundreds of million of tonnes of Iron ore in Guinea, 60 kms from TWO different rail lines and ports with excess capacity. Near term price drivers - They have 16 million tonnes of DSO ore at surface, drilling now and concept study due any day. Has extremely low silica content, less than 1%, that’s very good, can be up to 4%. Why is it so cheap? The ore has a high phosphorus content, about 0.3%, should be about 0.1%, this means you will take about a 30% hair cut on the spot price of IO. BUT have spoken to management, they are not concerned as they believe the product will be in demand due to exceptional low silica content and smelters will want it to blend down high silica low phos ores, hence minimal haircut on price. If correct this could easy ten bag this month cause they will have $3.2 billion dollars of ore from about 5% of tenement with a 100 million tonne target for DSO ore, with near term production potential (this year). Pricing and near term production potential to be revealed in concept study due imminently.

AYR - Gold explorer in WA,
    11/03/2013

Due to release updates for its Crack of Dawn prospect. Green fields gold discovery was confirmed late January, not far away from the Jundee gold deposit that holds 5mil ounces of decent grade. The new discovery is 15km north of the company’s main horse well project where they already hold 100,000 ounces. Current aero magnetic surveying is underway across a 90km zone. Results due to be released to market mid march (see latest Ann). Of note, massive accumulation tactics have been playing out of late around the 0.009 mark, and once exhausted is expected to run further. AYR ran hard on the day of the Jan announcement however was fairly premature, and since it seems weaker holders have been selling out that were stuck with stock bought around 1.5c it seems.

Chilean copper / gold explorer, including porphyry deposits, plus an iron ore tailings project with near term cash flow There are therefore 3 short term catalysts: - No delays in drilling their copper targets now, we know they are drilling 24 hours a day and will start up a 2nd 24 hour drill rig on 12th march. Updated info re porphyry projects including 3 potential partners visiting the Gold Iron project. - but most importantly for me has been confirmation of progress relating to the iron ore tailings project, including detail on some realistic costs which need to be incurred to get it started. They've also concluded discussions with customers

PRL - Oil/Gas in Spain and South America,
    6/03/2013

Went into a trading halt today. Received a speeding ticket. PRL responded that it is currently in confidential negotiations with several undisclosed parties re a number of O&G investment opportunities. Late last year Petrel completed a US$2.5 million investment in 14,000 square kilometres of highly prospective petroleum exploration acreage in Uruguay in South America and an 85% stake in two licences prospective for gas, covering 82,700 hectares, in southern Spain. The funds will cover the first phase of a three-stage work program, primarily on the acreage in Uruguay. The Piedra Sola and Salto shale concessions, onshore Uruguay, represent a significant first-mover opportunity for a company of Petrel’s size, in an asset with resource potential normally associated with major oil companies. French petroleum giant, Total, was granted two concessions to the North of Petrel’s acreage late last year. Uruguay is substantially underexplored compared to neighbouring Brazil and Argentina.

MKE - Oil explorer - Canada (all over),
    6/03/2013

Today received a farm-in deal with CPO worth $220million for a work-in interest. MKE still retain 12.5% and have to pay nothing to be free carried through the entire program AND can pay for an up to 20% option. Given that MKE is only 22mil that means they essentially just did a deal worth 2x their MC. They also have farm-in agreements on all of their other tenements so cash isn't a problem at this stage (1mil on hand + $800k production worth per quarter) As per the above they currently receive about 116bbl/day production from their farm-ins and this will increase at a low expense to the company. This announcement today was the big star and the market hasn't woken up to it yet. I feel this could be a bagger or two in coming days

This one is not fully understood with a lowball 3million ASX shell company MC fully diluted. Very undervalued for its physical and speculative value with many catalyst which could move it very easy and fast in the next few weeks. Fully funded drilling programme coming up consists of 2000m RC drilling at Mt Gordon and Lake Percy. 2x of the targets are on the same basal contact as the Maggie Hays find. This drilling is the most prospective to date straight from the horse’s mouth (management). Nearology to Maggie Hays 20KM away massive nickel find.

SGQ await confirmation of targets and a drilling campaign at arguably the most prospective of the nickel wannabies Price is announcement driven and the market wants action . Weather is key and so far so good . March announcement of April drill will be no surprise . Other key factor is the JV they have with BHP . The agreement is due for renewal and will have new terms . Much interest in this deal . From memory it must be completed late this month or very early April.

STX - Shale Gas targets in the Cooper Basin,
    4/03/2013

Strke’s Southern Cooper Basin Project is initially targeting the coal seam gas potential within permits PEL 94, PEL 95 and PEL 96. Strike estimates that approximately 75% of the 8.2 to 21.5 Tcf prospective resource in this area is associated with the coal. A significant upgrade to the prospective resource was made in 2012 after high gas content and thick coal was encountered in the Marsden 1 and Davenport 1 wells. The project is ideally positioned to supply the Eastern and Southern Australian gas markets with open-access pipelines passing through the permits." With a market cap around $60m it seems ridiculously cheap based on recent deals done in the Cooper Basin and my guess is now that BPT has sorted out its flagship assets they will be able to focus on their highly prospective JV assets with STX
