performance of directors
Simon mottram has had a good record of working within the mining industry. Simon worked at JBL (Jubilee mines) which produced 12,000 tonnes of nickel anually when sold as was bought by anglo-swiss miner XTA for 2.8 billion.
-Simon was also the non-executive director of Avoca resources (AVB) which was takes over by oz minerals for $440m
-Not only that but was the Country Manager for Asian Mineral Resources (AMR) which ran the Ban Phuc Nickel mine in Vietnam which generated $213m in revenue over three year period however was sold to blackstone minerals (bsx) due to falling nickel prices.
Neighbours
- Panoramic resources ASX.PAN MC:215M who have currently own the Savannah nickel, copper and cobalt mine right next door. they are currently the 4 largest Nickel Sulphide Developer behind CHN,LEG and MCR
- ASX.BUX is located northeast to us and is also located next to PAN. they are in a JV with iGO and have commenced diamond drilling on the 25/08/2020 for Ni-co with 2700m planned to be drilled and currently have drilled 2675 so could expect results within a month or so... all speculation.
- i have been reading that there has been a backlog in assay results being released due to a boom in mining in WA so it may also take a bit longer. however in their most recent release dated 02/10/2020 they did state no so great results (listed below) but waiting to see full assay results.
-Drillhole 20WKDD0001, did not hit substantive mineralisation at the target depths
-A number of intervals of the prospective Ruins Dolerite unit were intersected between 400m and 830m hosting intermittent weak to moderate mineralisation
Peer comparison
- So far some of the largest movers in the Nickel sector are OAR,LTR. AND LSA (they are probably a lot more that i have missed) all located next door or close to CHN with LTR recently completing its AEM survey and will be drilling later this year based on those results and with LSA currently waiting on their results. Even looking at ESR's recent announcement the market loved its Nickel Sulphide Discovery with stock price going from 0.014 to a high of 0.086. Looking at FIN We are located right next door to the Savannah Ni-cu project which is operated by PAN current MC:215m
AcquisitionThe Company reviewed several other exploration project opportunities and continued toassess new mineral resource opportunities.28/07/2020 quarterly activities report.
Mining-ASX.FIN is current drilling for Nickel, Copper and Platinum Group Element (PGE) mineralisation also known as NI-Cu-PGE as of the 07/10/2020 from strong high priority conductors defined from Fixed Loop Electromagnetic (FLEM) geophysical survey, and has commended Diamond drilling with a total of 1000m planned to be drilled.
-three holes in total have been planned with Drilling of the first hole (FNDD001) has commenced, with a planned depth of 470m
Why buy?Basically as stated above the nickel sector right now is really hot with recent announcements by other companies as ESR, LTR etc leading to a massive re-rate in stock price and with any good confirmation of nickel at the McKenzie Springs there is only one way for the stock to go and thats up.
we have good management with years of experience within the nickel sector as stated above so we have a team who know what they are doing.
Not only that but the company does have a lot of cash with $3.4m in the bank so no need of cash raise any time soon and is currently looking for an acquisition at the moment. looking recently at ESR's announcements they commenced Diamond drilling on the 13/08 and result were release a couple days ago so around two months for results to be released and with FIN doing Diamond drilling as well we could expect results within the same timeframe so around early to late mid december.
