Thanks Fib.
Good luck for the week ahead everyone. Trading houses will back in full swing this week so watch out for their shenanigans. Sometimes a stock can rise in the first two weeks of the year as punters push the price up while brokers are away. Some selling by them is likely in order to gain control again.
NEN holders were smashed last week... Only the brave would be in for any bounce IMO. Not much to look forward to there. It might be wise to remember that O and G drills are NOT investments, they are punts. Profits should be taken along the way to mitigate a bad outcome. That well was prone to CO2 but management reckoned it might be manageable. Their silence on the matter was deafening. The brokers involved in that PUNT really hyped it as investment grade and were on the TV for nearly a year pushing the barrow. Meanwhile they would scoff at any other so called punts and warn us off them.
There is a message in there......shit happens. Also your guess could be just as good as the next guys, even if he is on the telly and wearing a smart suit.
I am mainly trading around my usual stocks with enough success to warranty staying away from too many new ones. I find it easier to trade stocks I know well. This is why I seem to promote the same stocks...... I can more easily get a feel for the bottom and top of each cycle.
Paying lots of attention to prevalent posters here and on the DT thread but taking a lot of extra care with DT tips.
Have a great week.
