since its Friday, I'll tell you some more of my days there. Went at 24 years and returned at 31; spent 4 summers and 2 winters. Based on Rhodes, but sailed from one end of the country to the other many times - mostly upwind - including all the countries around. Know parts of it better than my own waters, and nothing better than a strong Meltemi to get where you want to go. Learnt though never to mix it with Ouzo; strictly fresh water only. Salt made a habit of rising. And I hope you don't mix it with coke! Vegemite in a drink I called it.
Eldest daughter was born there, but that's part of a larger seaman's legacy .
