Stanley Whittingham, a director of MNS, was jointly awarded the prize last week for inventing the lithium battery.
Presently he and his protégé are spear-heading the development of their lattest battery that does not contain cobalt. They have two factories in the 'making:' Upper State NY and Townsville. Not sure about the European third.
Let's hope the prize does something for the price. Probably not though.
