Waiting for a registry to confirm ownership of recently exercised Oppies :

Next time - if you're in an Oppies stock that's due to expire soon and you've done the exercise process online according to the registry's instructions on a day before 5pm on the expiry date -

rather than depend on checking the registry's website for proof of ownership every day after that
    try accessing your online broker's

    a) Holdings webpage first - to see if the holding is there
    - or if accessible more quickly -

    b) by initiating a Sell order for any heads

    i) you hold,

    provided
    - during the course of typing in how many heads you want to sell - the heads holding includes the number of Oppies you've exercised. Your sell order page should tell you, once you've inserted the Code, on the Units Available Line : "You have xxxx # of units of (Code) to sell"
That's sound simple enough to do at any time - but when you're in a hurry to do this - as it sometimes is for me - I find that the quickest way to know if I've been allotted my new holding
    or

ii) you did not hold, any heads prior to the day you exercised your Oppies - in which case your Sell Order page will show,
on the Units Available Line : "You do not have any units of (Code) to sell"

I'd expect that posters who use Commsec would know all the above already,
but for 1st timers exercising Oppies, this information may be useful to remember.
