I had started replying to this but you've said it much better than I could have.
On LIT ETF, they only own 6 AUS lithium producers/near term producers all of which have been falling, and zero specs, hence the price movement. Good ASX lithium specs have been moving sideways the past few days.
Estimates for lithium demand are IMO way too conservative. People have been banging on about oversupply for years. These people need to revisit their calcs, or find better commodities experts to follow.
