OK I am not sure how 'mild' got in there in losses in everything but Utilities and Real Estate sectors. Losses were around -1.63% in Materials, -1.31% in Consumer Discretionary and -0.77% Consumer Services. All of these are SPX sectors. The net result for the SPX and broader indices was relatively mild but not sure how much cycling there was between the sectors. The RUT small caps index outperformed while the Dow and NDX lost about a half percent each as you already know.
