Weekly Fundamental and Technical Analysis Prospects - Week Starting 16th Dec 2013 (No. 96)

Here’s this week’s FA and TA List. The newer items first and those carried forward from last week towards back of list (some of the items from last week have a time horizon of more that one week).
All listed market caps are undiluted (and do not include escrowed shares) (Note: Max time for any entry on list will be 4 weeks after which time it will be removed).

Important Note: Remember just because it appears on the list does not necessarily mean it will rise in price... it may actually fall or do nothing. So it is critical that you perform detailed research on each stock first and make your own mind up to whether invest or not. I suggest you run a stop-loss at all times when trading/investing. How tight your stops are depends on your threshold to risk and financial pain. Lastly I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided as I do not have the time to research all the facts that have been provided. Best of Luck.!

Shell Company 005c$1.4 million cap$120k cash and shares$500k borrowings. Yes, its a dog. Shells become more valuable in sector booms. Has a small income from its lobster pot business, and possibly from a deal with BKP Have stated in the recent quarterly and chairman's address that they are: 'assessing projects, offers and opportunities based on sector activity', and' assessing other opportunities' They may be referring partly to the Iron Sands project they introduced to BKP, but given the plurality of their language it sounds like there might be something else too. Total annual management and director fees are $72k per annum. The DGI guys Steinepris and Paganin act as solicitors for CVS - not sure if its a chummy-type relationship though. My buy on Friday afternoon highlighted, after seeing the other trades - $2k max is probably all its worth throwing at this one i reckon.

Currently exploring Copper in Kazakhstan with 50:50 JV agreement with Kazak Government ( State owned enterprise ) and GTE. Maiden JORC will come out in first quarter of 2014. So far the copper exploration results are one of the best sets I have seen in a long time. They also have a JV agreement with WSA ( WSA earning 70%) to explore Nickel project in Australia. I have a conservative price target of 35 to 40 cents by end of first quarter of 2014.

    SOC - Gold explorer NSW,
    10/12/2013

SP 17.5 cents, no debt, drilling funded for the next several months.[I recollect someone else tipping this but I do not see it on the list, if it is available I am grabbing it.]FA Results for recent drilling are due very, very soon. The drill is testing a new patch in the Mt Adrah prospect, The geo's are hoping to find high grades. I believe they would like to find some low cost near surface gold because they targeted the drill over historic shallow artisan mining. Presently the Mt Adrah site has a JORC of about 650,000 OZs [100,000 OZs measured ... so it is early days yet] However the company has been making noises about upgrading the resource. If the drill bit returns some good hits and with some good depth from surface SOC will get a rerate. There seems to be plenty of meat on the bone but the stock is pretty much ignored. The last traded price was 17.5 cents, which came from a seller taking the bid price, perhaps there is more where that came from? Anybody's guess. There is a little bit of volume available below 20 cents. Realistically anybody wanting to buy will probably have to pay 18+ cents. IMO even modest results will return this stock back to around 25 cents. However, personally, I am in this for a lot more. I am speculating the Geo's know what they are doing with this one.

SWE - Oil and Gas in Kenya and Tanzania,
    8/12/2013

Swala’s holdings are in the world-class East African Rift System with a total net land package in excess of 15,000km2. New discoveries have been announced in a number of licences along this trend, including Ngamia, Twiga and Etuko, which extend the multi-billion barrel Albert Graben play successfully developed by Tullow Oil plc into the eastern arm of the rift. Swala has an active operational and business development programme to continue to grow its presence in the hydrocarbon provinces of sub-Saharan Africa Swala Energy (SWE) has secured >21,000km2 of net acreage in the highly prospective East African Rift, on trend and in the same play as recent large discoveries by Tullow and Africa Oil. The Company’s acreage captures ten entire basins across four permits (assuming Eyasi is awarded) in Kenya and Tanzania. Swala was incorporated in September 2010 with a focus on securing acreage in Central and Eastern Africa. It soon entered into exclusive negotiations for award of the 12B licence in Kenya (Swala 50%, Tullow 50% operator) and the Pangani and Kilosa/Kilombero licences in Tanzania (Swala 32.5% operator, Otto 50%). The three licences were awarded in February 2012, just before the Ngamia-1 discovery well by Tullow and Africa Oil in March 2012. All of the blocks are located in the same East African Rift System in which Tullow and Africa Oil have now made 5 discoveries from 5 exploration wells. The Company is in exclusive negotiations for a third Tanzanian Block, Eyasi, which is expected to be awarded in Q3/4 2013. Swala recently announced that it has also bid on three blocks on Zambia, the results of which should be known before the end of the calendar year. It is likely that the Company will participate in further bid rounds and also enter into direct negotiations for additional blocks to further expand its portfolio of assets through CY2014. The Company currently has >21,000km2 in total net acreage in the region (including Eyasi

VRX - Copper explorer in WA,
    5/12/2013

Copper explorer with tenements close to Sandfires Degrussa, VRX developed their Thaduna/Green Dragon project over the last 2 years and have recently completed a farm in with Sandfire allowing SFR to go take the project through to mining without the need for any contribution from VRX, but still ultimately retaining 20%. The project is looking at future production, providing long term cashflow to VRX. With SFR's involvement there's no need now for the $70m capex. Today the final part of the JV was sealed and the initial $3m payment will be made to VRX (which they have been waiting for for some time). What now then? Well not only are SFR likely to start an aggressive drilling campaign at some point but VRX have $$$ (finally!) to kickstart their other 3 projects and do this whole thing again. The price crashed down from around 40c to around 20c upon news of the JV (probably due to the % taken by Sandfire), and has drifted further since on low volume. I believe it is undervalued and the drop didn't really factor in the key point from the deal which is that SFR are taking on the capex responsibility from VRX. I also believe the price has drifted lower due to a lack of interest from delays in exploration, and the low cash balance. Today's announcement could see the start of newsflow again, not only because the company now has money coming in, but they have finally settled the JV deal and can let SFR continue the exploration VRX started, plus kick off exploration themselves.VRX stats: Only 71m shares on issue. Market cap - $9mCash at end of last qtr - negative $400kCash after todays annc - I estimate around $2m?

SUH’s current Llahuin JV partner, Lundin Mining. he relationship between Lundin and SUH is flourishing with the establishment of an additional new joint venture, Los Rulos on 50/50 basis (with the right to increase to 65% total). This is on top of the existing Llahuin project JV in which Lundin has the option to earn in 75% equity (by spending US$35M).The latest resource update has provided evidence and confidence that Llahuin can become a long life asset. Current resources stand at 149Mt @ 0.29% Cu & 0.12g/t Au with an identified higher grade zone which forms the basis of our mining scenario. SUH is looking to expand resources further and needs to approximately double the resource and up the grade from here to have a good chance of developing Llahuin.

OVL - Precious metals - Chile,
    3/12/2013

Has about $1mil in the bank, Mc about $4milCatalyst for price action will be the drill results Tipped this last month for a 120% gain, its pulled back now so looks cheap again to me. Have had a long chat to head GEO which gives me some confidence this might be the real thing. Effectively they are drilling a very large porphyry system which via a comedy of errors has passed through the hands of the majors, however recently BHP have staked all the land around them and knocked on the door of these guys!!!Initial drill results have hit copper sulphides and pyrite from about 150m to end of drill string at 500m, IP can see to 800m and suggest continuation of the mineralised intrusion, how deep it really goes no one can say. Surface sampling of the gossan found chalcopyrite and chalcocite but drill samples provided chalcopyrite and covallite, They surmise/hope that the covallite is covering, replacing chalcocite/bornite. Anyway the formal grading of results could begin to appear by the end of the week, they think a cueq grade of 0.3% is enough to be commercial given the size of the discovery and is proximity to infrastructure.

PAB - Biotech - Focus on Cancer,
    3/12/2013

Cancer focussed clinical stage company using cancer specific IgM monoclonal antibodies. US, Europe, registered in Australia.PAB is undertaking a 1:2 rights issue to fund production of it's lead IgM antibody (PAT-SM6) for a clinical trial sponsored by Onyx/Amgen, to treat Multiple Myeloma (MM), a deadly bone cancer. PAB regards this deal with Onyx/Amgen as company transforming.PAT-SM6 has also recently won Orphan Drug Status in the US and Europe, which means the drug can be sold before Phase 3 testing is complete. Results from it's own Phase 1/2 clinical trial showed that at the highest tested dose (6mg/kg), both evaluable patients showed stable disease. Including lower dosages, 4/11 patients in the trial showed stable disease. Monoclonal antibodies are likely to be used as a combination treatment for relapsed/refractory cases of MM, because they have no safety concerns and can re-sensitise patients to previously used drugs, in addition to cytotoxic and apoptotic properties (ie. killing cancer cells). The 1:2 rights are 5c, and this has caused the share price to gravitate towards 5c as some holders elect to sell shares to fund rights. The rights period ends on December 11th, interestingly just after the ASH presentation. After that, PAB will have the cash to manufacture PAT-SM6 for the Onyx/Amgen sponsored clinical trial and will be in a strong position to negotiate a good licensing deal for shareholders. Celgene?

Just announced an option to acquire cloud-based company. On Thursday they announced they acquired an option to purchase a cloud-based online education company, Icollege. There seems to be one ASX listed education provider (RDH), but they're not in the space of online training/education, so DGI would be unique in this respect. From the info provided in the annc, Icollege is not huge yet but has operated for some time profitably, generating 50% EBITDA. The cloud-based platform is scalable and appears to be able to quickly grow and spread within Australia (Icollege is accredited by the Government which may be important), across various courses, and then overseas without large costs. Lots of potential if they can gain traction. Gain traction would be the ir aim now and hence this back-door listing to access capital for the growth phase of the business. Company has been smashed SP-wise, but the highest volume of the year was traded today, moving 17%. Expect some sort of retrace before moving up. However, there is little being sold. Target is approx 7-8c based on chart.

    CSD - Tin Australia,
    10/12/2013

chart has built a technically perfect LT cup pattern. with volume receding and increasing with price accordingly. Price has subsequently pulled back to 50% forming a typical handle. Price has now bounced, indicating a possible attempt at a cup and handle breakout. breakout price would be around 10c.cash position not so hot but company has $2m coming from unlisted option conversions. After running up to 39c and having a number of broker reports suggesting the stock was valued at 45c + Pre drilling the company placed stock at 27c Today the stock was heavily sold down to 27c and I sense a bit of profit taking took place from those lucky enough to ne part of the stag raise On a ta basis these situations often rebound quickly as the sellers thin and new entrants top up , on a ta basis I sense we might see it retest 40c again in the next 4 weeks
