Cohiba Minerals Limited (ASX: CHK) (“the Company”) is pleased to announce that a settlement agreement has been executed in relation to the ongoing legal dispute with West Peak Iron Limited (“WPI”). The Company had a legal claim against WPI in respect to the farm-in joint venture agreement covering the Santy Wells tenements in Western Australia which have been forfeited. The settlement deal was agreed to be confidential by both parties.

Retraction of Previous Announcement
On 4 March 2014 Cohiba Minerals Limited (the Company) published a Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting and Explanatory Memorandum (Notice). The Notice made various comments regarding Mathew Donald Walker who was the subject of resolution 1 of the Extraordinary General Meeting to be appointed a Director of the Company.
Mr Walker took issue with some of the statements in the Notice and claimed the statements were, by imputation, defamatory. The Company recognises some of the statements may have had a negative imputation and concedes any such imputation is unsubstantiated and baseless. In this regard, the Company apologises to Mr Walker.
The Company and Mr Walker have otherwise resolved all disputed issues on the basis of a confidential settlement.
