Just a quick note for anyone interested in lithium supply FA.
MIN announced today their first shipment of 1.5% spodumene DSO, the first DSO that I know of that has actually made it off our shores. This shipment was 114kt, and they plan to ship 100-200kt of 1.5% a month. To put it into to perspective this represents 61%-121% of the production of GXY's Mt Cattlin and Mt Marion combined (the DSO = 44-88kt LCE p.a without accounting for conversion loss of say 20%)... A couple gigafactories or a 1% growth in the EV market would eat this up but still a considerable amount of supply that wasn't expected by most analysts. Note that MIN itself is a proxy trade for IO.
