I can understand where you are coming from now - seeing you know all the background
I see it in a few stocks wherein someone from the "bird" posts and there is a corresponding flurry of activity. It seems to be repeated for a period and then surprisingly after rising the price reverts back to where it was before the agitation- simply playing on the fact that holders want to believe in the story as they are invested (and the old "fear of missing out").
It is unfortunate - but one always should be in charge of their own decisions.
