Re: bellweather - I get that feeling too. It seems as though AVZ is the new retail/interest-generating lead for the Li sector. That's been a good thing as it's drawn in some additional attention that has allowed for the 'other boats to rise' perhaps more than they would have previously. I don't know enough to say what/who a previous example of this was.. PLS? ORE?
You have to give it to them though. 'Largest deposit in the world' is a pretty exclusive claim. Now to see if they can dig it out in time for it to be useful... I'd hazard a guess and say that they will lag their peers, and miss the front-running prime opportunities where REALLY big money will be made. They'll still be a huge part of the picture though, just not in the first one or two waves of supply-to-market. And let's hope by then that superior tech (zinc-air?) has not come along and disrupted their plans...!
