VUL - Released a decent Jorc indicated lithium Brine resource yesterday. So what you say ...

Whats unique about VUL is that it has brine within in a series of large Lithium bearing Geothermal aquifers. VUL aims to be the 1st producer of Zero Carbon Lithium Hydroxide in the world. VULs project is located in the Rhine Valley in Germany (a large industrial area) where they have been producing geothermal energy from the Aquifers it for many years. So transport cost would be negligible and energy costs are very low. Hydroxide production requires a lot of energy.

As a background It should be noted that European Battery/Car makers (For Example VW) are determined to produce cars that have "net" zero carbon emissions. Its said that Low emission raw materials is as important (If not more important) than price to the Europeans. That is, they will pay more for low carbon materials. This net zero carbon position is becoming the standard though out Europe. It should also be considered that the German Govt has a desire to not be dependent on foreign imports of batteries (from Asia) and produce at home.

Unfortunately most Lithium in the world and especially hard rock currently has relatively high carbon intensity in production. Current incumbent WA producers have already invested heavily in carbon heavy plant and machinery and will therefore be at a significant disadvantage shortly and for some years until they can transition totally to green energy

    All is IMHO
