Let em buy as many boxes as they like. Boxes aren't the issue...premium land and resources are what you need to worry about.
In many countries the purchase of apartments is welcomed but try buying freehold land as a foreign investor without being married to a citizen!
As for China...nobody buys freehold...it's ALL leasehold...that's why there is such an influx of cash into Oz/NZ plus we can breath here (most places anyway)...which helps.
