On Thursday, the SPX closed at 3909.52 or +0.52% on moderately strong internals and mostly green sector profile
That was one of the more volatile sessions I have seen. Time for bigger screens. This can also be seen in the wide swings in market internals. All SPX sectors went green on an intraday basis in the last hour of trading, as NYSE advance-decline lines went to +1000 and volume ratio above +3.2:1. NASD volume ratio went above +2.8:1. Large market wide closing auction buy of +3.5B. Quite a bit of automated buying from what I saw. SPX is back on the north side of the weekly pivot of 3900 again. The NDX finished on the 100 day and the middle of its recent range and RUT small caps are the standout at over +2.5% in the last part of the session.
