I'm noticing it a lot more as well now. One stock on Tuesday was slowly ticking along nicely in a steady upward trend over a few weeks. Then all of a sudden a large volume of sell orders appeared at slightly higher prices and a large portion of buy orders disappeared. The price then dropped pretty quickly back to a support level. Now today the buy order volume has returned around that support level. Sounds like good old accumulation to me, somebody getting their fill first.
