With Bell Direct you can set up conditional orders without actually owning the shares, not sure about Commsec. Maybe try to set up a "dummy" conditional order and see if it allows you? Think carefully about the trailing stops, on low SP and/or illiquid shares it's very easy for the order to be triggered unintentionally - in fact it is a known tactic of the pro's to sell a few shares at a low price to trigger stops
