I dont know if you have heard of the recent story about Gamestop.

From what I understand a big hedge fund places a short on Gamestop a few weeks ago.

This will then prompt a bunch of Reddit and Youtube retail investors to pump Gamestop, from what I understand to get back at the hedge fund.

Long story short, Gamestop goes up by 1700% in a matter of a few weeks and the hedge fund goes broke needing to get bailed out. Then as soon as that happens Gamestop does a big crash due to certain platforms restricting the buy orders.

The amount of money that has been printed and gone into market means that the balance of power has been shifted from institutions and hedge funds to retail investors who form groups on social media now. Very interesting......
