    Gold rose overnight to close at about US$1,799oz whereas other commodities fell across the board.

    Quarterly reports are due today from mining heavyweights Fortescue Metals FMG and Goldie Newcrest NCM, as well as Nickel producer IGO & Gold producer OGC to name a few of interest.

    There are AGMs today for shareholders in Star Entertainment, South32, JB Hi-Fi, Corporate Travel Management, Challenger, Reece, Boral and Tassal Group.
