    Hello Zyzygy and other HCites,

    OT

Hanoi has been very cold this winter but we've just returned from the Philippines after six weeks to break up the winter. In Manila above 30 degrees every day. Much like Saigon. Good Wifi so great for trading. Level 22 apartment looking over Manila Bay. Trading from the balcony fantastic.
Went out to a Casino in Manila that was so large that that it took about an hour to walk around it's perimeter on the ground floor. Didn't make it upstairs. When I returned to the bar there was an eight piece band playing directly above the Bar. So I sat right in front of the band with two guys from Oz and one from California. Every song we requested was sung to almost perfection. The Philippine cover bands are so good.

Make a long story short and talk about trading tactics we all drank so much tequila that I didn't have a bet at the Casino and found myself home at 7am the next morning. Couldn't remember getting home.

One of my rules of trading over the last thirty years has been not to trade when drinking. However when I returned to the apartment I was feeling so enthusiastic that I bought $40,000 of BHPSF9 (500 call option contracts at 80 cents each) expiring in two weeks. Sold three days later for $136,000.

Adage is don't follow rules. They can be inhibiting and just go with your gut.

Now holding lots of CSLJD8 (CSL call options $164 May 18) and MQGY18 (MQY call options $104 April 18). The best thing about option trading is that its like a horse race but the race goes on until the expiry date of the options so there is normally a window when you can sell them at a profit.

Anyhow Zyzygy enough of my ramblings. Hope to see you in Saigon on my next visit.
