Weekly Fundamental and Technical Analysis Prospects - Week Starting 26th Aug 2013 (No. 80)

Here’s this week’s FA and TA List. The newer items first and those carried forward from last week towards back of list (some of the items from last week have a time horizon of more that one week).
All listed market caps are undiluted (and do not include escrowed shares) (Note: Max time for any entry on list will be 4 weeks after which time it will be removed).

Important Note: Remember just because it appears on the list does not necessarily mean it will rise in price... it may actually fall or do nothing. So it is critical that you perform detailed research on each stock first and make your own mind up to whether invest or not. I suggest you run a stop-loss at all times when trading/investing. How tight your stops are depends on your threshold to risk and financial pain. Lastly I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided as I do not have the time to research all the facts that have been provided. Best of Luck.!

    PEX - Copper in NSW,
    26/08/2013

Exploration at the company's flagship Mallee Bull project in the Cobar region of NSW has recently begun with the commencement of the phase 4 drilling program. The mineralisation at Mallee Bull produces both magnetic and electromagnetic signals. What excites me is that DHEM survey data from a 2012 hole at the Butchers Dog prospect (located 1km north of Mallee Bull) drilled in the centre of a very large anomaly, has identified a moderate to strong off hole anomaly thought to be located within 200m of the depth of the hole. Peel believes that there is potential that the Butchers Dog anomaly is associated with the mineralisation at Mallee Bull. In addition to the drilling at Mallee Bull, exploration has begun on the company's recently acquired 100% owned Sandy Creek prospect to test geophysical anomalies. Sandy creek was acquired from private interests and is located 20km to the north of the Mallee Bull project. A strong DHEM anomaly has been identified as well as strong geochemical anomalism supported by high grade polymetallic historic drilling results. Subsequent to the quarter, initial exploration of Sandy Creek by Peel utilising a high DHEM survey confirmed the presence of the strong offhole anomaly and this anomaly remains largely untested by drilling. Follow up exploration including drilling is scheduled to commence around now. Results from the company’s drilling programs should start to flow soon which is likely to drive a rapid increase in the market’s interest for Peel Mining.

OGY - Oil and gas in the cooper basin.,
    26/08/2013

Orca energy announced Friday 23rd that they along with sxy as the joint venture partner had made a commercial oil discovery in the cooper basin with the Burrunna2 exploration well. Net pay interval of 5.3meters with oil free flowing to the surface at rate of 750 bpd. strong. Now being tested for permeability. The rest of the cooper is strong and next fa is sure to confirm this also. Important to note this is part of the Murta formation in the southern cooper, which is the newly formed "Fury joint venture" area. Free oil observed and hydro colours noted over gross interval of 14 meters. OGY is 1 of the cooper oilers that haven't yet appeared to have insto attention, like the others such as Senex over the past 2 years. This and further commercial discoveries that may occur from Senex attention could see this as a great free carry. Position held as of yesterday, taken after initial pump and pull back. Looks like a good entry point now if you can get it.

    RXL - Zinc/Nickle in WA /NT,
    26/08/2013

Earn in partner, Teck, has just exercised its right to sole fund the next $10m in exploration at the Reward Zinc Project in the NT, to earn a further 19%. This will take their interest to 70%. The company recently passed the $5m in expenditure at the project to take their interest to 51%.On the 5th of August, RXL announced a high grade zinc discovery at the Teena prospect with a 26.4m intersection @ 13.3% Zn + Pb, including 8.0m @ 21.2% Zn + Pb. Although it is a deep discovery at 1,060m depth, the commitment by a major to invest such a significant sum to increase their interest is a strong endorsement of the potential. Significantly, a second hole 200m to the West of the discovery hole has intersected visually similar mineralisation. Results are awaited. A 4,500m drilling program is underway with the likelihood of further drilling success. The second project of interest is the Camelwood nickel project in WA. Whilst the mineralized intersections to date have been quite narrow, the results clearly highlight the potential of the area. Given the mineralization is considered to be similar to that which occurs at Kambalda and these types of accumulations tend to occur in clusters, the prospectively of the project has, in my opinion, been confirmed. The current activities include a data audit and an initial resource estimation. In addition a regional review is underway to identify repeats of the Cammelwood deposit.

TTE - Oil and gas explorer/producer in USA and Australia. ,
    23/08/2013

Titan energy is producing around 105 bopd with their oil wells in the US. It is currently drilling an inexpensive cap rock campaign in the Allen dome. Recent update of cap rock drilling included this statement. "pleased to report that oil shows in drilling mud and cuttings have been identified during drilling of the Titan Poole #C-1 cap rock “wild cat” exploration well" A cap rock discovery could open up a series of inexpensive shallow producing wells that will dramatically boost TTE oil production and cash flow. Comparison to MAD cap rock discovery has been made my mgmt This is MAD's discovery http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20110810/pdf/4209h51wgp51jf.pdfCurrent MC at around $13m, with 105 bopd selling at $105 USD per barrel.

Ron Prefontaines of Arrow and Bow energy fames latest play thing. Effectively he has accumulated a vast amount of unconventional oil and gas exploration assets in US and Australia. Currently have their first well going down in the Illinous Basin in the US and they have hit oil and gas, just drilling the horizontal leg of the well now and the price is starting to move so better get this in.If this is a commercial discovery it is likely to resemble the mighty Bakken formation and the Elm Coulee field which would make it a multi Billion dollar discovery.

AQC - Coal in the Bowen Basin, Queensland,
    20/08/2013

JV with RIO to drill it's EPC near RIO's existing Hail Creek coking coal mine. RIO has obtained all clearances to begin drilling, and was supposed to begin in mid-July. This delay, as well as funding problems, has caused the share price to languish at 0.9c. Looking past this short term concern, RIO knows that there is a significant amount of coking coal on the property, or it wouldn't have bothered to ink a deal with minnow AQC in the first place. Value for shareholders should start to be unlocked once RIO enters the property with a drilling rig. The JV agreement with RIO details further cash payments to AQC depending on what volume of coal is found and at what depth. RIO has already paid $2m for the right to drill, so they are serious. They will not walk away from this.

PTL - Manufacturing and sale of Personal Care/Home products,
    19/08/2013

Technically, the PTL chart is a screamer. Once 2.8c breaks a 4c target comes into play, with length of room to move beyond that. I have watched the PTL action for awhile now, IMO she is very very close to a move to 4c ++. She is very tightly held.IMO both the fundamentals and the chart provide a rare opportunity here for a rewarding turnaround story. See the BUL chart for what I am expecting in the coming months for the PTL share price.

PTL - Manufacturing and sale of Personal Care/Home products,
    19/08/2013

Symex Holdings Limited (SYM) engages in manufacturing and sale of oleo products, glycerine and personal care and home products in Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Asia, Europe and Middle East. SYM has two main divisions namely consumer products and specialty chemical products. The big advantage PTL has is the strength of their brand portfolio, with strong brands that have been around for a long time. In FMCG world, brand equity is EVERYTHING. PTL has what can only be described as MUST STOCK brands for WW and Coles, the envy of many other consumer goods companies desperate to be ranged in the grocery duopoly. As such as the commercials continue to be turned around, PTL is likely to undergo a significant and sustained re-rating. Quite simply there is an astounding amount of room for the PTL share price to move in the coming months IMO. IMO both the fundamentals and the chart provide a rare opportunity here for a rewarding turnaround story. See the BUL chart for what I am expecting in the coming months for the PTL share price.

OSL recently announced global strategic manufacturing alliance (co-operation and costs sharing agreement) with Eckert & Ziegler, a leader in the manufacture of devices, radio chemicals and radiopharmaceutical precursors used in the treatment of serious diseases and for medical imaging. Also they have recently taken a step towards commercialising its pancreatic cancer treatment medical device OncoSil™ with the initiating of a gap analysis assessment that will define the pathway to a pre Investigation Device Exemption (IDE) meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).OSL is developing OncoSil™ as an implantable device that emits radiation directly into the pancreatic tumour, and the pain conducting nerves surrounding it. The company is seeking to register OncoSil™ as a medical device in all major markets as they have a fraction of the development cost compared to drugs and are faster to register, making for a better return on investment. Stage 3 drilling program commenced at Sams Creek on 29 July 2013. The aim is to test for extensions below and along strike from the Main Zone deposit. First priority is to test below the limit of drilling in the central core of the deposit with a 550m drill hole which may be extended to test the source of a gigantic magnetic anomaly interpreted below the Main Zone

MEI - Diamonds in Western Australia,
    19/08/2013

On the 1st of August Meteoric announced the discovery of kimberlitic rocks at their project located in the West Arunta region of the Gibson Dessert in WA. The potential area of the kimberlitic field is 400sq klms. Indicator minerals for diamonds have also been identified. Drilling of the kimberlite target is scheduled to resume in September. I expect an substantial increase in the level of interest in MEI's shares in the lead up to this event. The company currently has 85.1m ordinary shares and 27.5m partly paid shares on issue so the market capitalisation is $3.8m undiluted at 4.5 cents ($5.1m diluted for partly paid shares). With $434K in cash as of June 30 there is always the risk of a capital raising however the purchase by a director of 397K shares at an average price of more than 5.3 cents per share between the 2nd and the 7th August gives me confidence that there will be a decent trade in MEI in the lead up to drilling in September.
