In talking with MQ..... 1moz JORC Gold reserves is the goal from the BFS(early 2021).... at present WWI has a good amount of measured Gold resources but will lose some of the near surface open pit areas...
In perspective 1moz gives a 20yr LOM @ 50koz pa...
For someone like Sibanye-stillwater(or Harmony even closer) 50kms away 1MOz will add much needed capacity to their local Gold Plants ... and when their Huge investment in the sector a low AISC leaving min $1k USD per oz
so $1billion USD in added forward earnings ....
And this is just from WWI present Resource base ....as we know 97 JORC code gave a resource 12.8MOz ... add in exploration upside...shows how huge the upside is here ...Tier 1 Gold project next door to Gold plants are RARE!!
when the world's Majors are finding it very hard to replace Gold reserves with Newly discovered Gold project Grades dropping by 50% in the last decade !!!
Just look at our ASX Gold explorer darling DEG 1.6Bill cap has upside to uncovering lower grade 6MOz Gold resource..WWI in time could well double that!!! and grade as well
IMHO its only a matter of time till Sibanye or Harmony make the move its just makes corporate sense record GOLD prices+forward reserves needed to keep production online ..early to Mid 2021 my predication(MR+BFS+RESERVES= Majors come knocking).. now SP should be well over 10c by then ... so high teens T/O offer etc
