I think this had more to do with VWs strategy to overtake Toyota and seems an isolated incident.
I always thought VWs were extremely competitively priced for a quality German car. Now we know why.

Btw, love the work of all the regulars here. STT is hands down the best forum on HC. Will hopefully have more time to start contributing rather than very gratefully reading all the very informative posts.
