there's a lot of love at the moment for Zinc and Copper, off the bat have performed well , hitting significant highs and both are forward looking commodities with demand for both likely to increase in the future.

looking at 60 day charts, Zinc is up around 15% and Copper around 16%.
now has anybody looked at Nickel? its up a whopping 30% in the last 60 days, and powered through and hit a high of $5.45/lb on Friday night.

Nickel (specifically high grade Nickel Sulphate) is an extremely important battery mineral if not the most important. NMC batteries which are the most commonly used lithium ion batteries are Nickel Manganese Cobalt blended. ''According to Battery university, this battery is also commonly preferred for electric vehicles due to its very low self-heating rate.''

Already seeing ASX legend CLQ's world class Nickel/Cobalt Syerston project getting some serious attention the past month, first off-take signed last week and up  75% from its 54c low less than 3 months ago. publicly listed Offtake partner Easpring is a $1.4bn USD Chinese state-owned Battery Manufacturer that supplies Sony, Samsung to name a few, and CLQ has hinted at perhaps building a battery manufacturing plant in NSW together with them: ''Parties to investigate the potential for a partnership in downstream precursor and possibly battery cathode production at Syerston''

This isn't an ''I'm going to call it early'' situation, as many intelligent and influential people have publicly been stating the importance of Nickel in the wake of the EV boom, with general consensus expecting the price of Nickel to continue its ascent,  but perhaps its time to be eyeing nickel hopefuls on the ASX, specifically high grade ones.
