Also all the 3rd world countries starting to build and advance the standard of living for their economies and population. Then I look to see what is required and how forward looking are some of the companies on our ASX to be able to meet those needs.Perhaps it also has a great deal to do with residing in WA, basically a mining state. Yes- it is a boom or bust time here. I remember a real estate agent telling me about 3 years ago that there was going to be a boom on, as the first of the highly qualified were being head hunted by the mining companies and were moving here. They were right. Remember Sony in its hay day. A Japanese company, product made to perfection there, cost became too high, moved their manufacturing to other parts of Asia, quality started to deteriorate, and in their wisdom decided to manufacture their glass tubes in India. In the end they couldn't give away their rear projection screens. Has taken them years trying to rebuild their reputation. Buying cheap, is buying dear. I know I always look at where a product is made, or when it comes to a company, where it is based, who the major shareholders are , what % they own.

Yes you are correct Golden re world wide demand for resources. I guess for me I find them boring. Dig and ship. Just not satisfying for me. Each to their own hey.
