Depends on your perspective - over the last couple of years I have subscribed to several CN's and have done very well out of every single one of them. I like the interest rates they pay, they are often secured (against R&D tax rebate for example) and if the SP cooperates the conversion adds a very nice bonus.

In other words, I've had a very good experience in investing in them and will continue to do so (and in fact am currently subscribed to 2 CN's - 1 for a listed company and 1 for a private company).
