I remember early on when Mrs V and I were courting some friends took us down a back alley in Sydney and up these external stairs to a landing where we fortunately grabbed the last table sat down and just ate what was put in front of us.

An absolute array of Italian food cooked by mamma and cheap Italian wine. Everyone was convivial and chatting across tables as if we were all long time friends. If you did not get there early you had to queue and count your blessings that they did not run out of food before you got a seat.

My brain can't recall the name of it - only the memories.

Memories are great. Always look forward to adding new ones. Best oysters I ate were at the Salamanca Markets. Not cheap, but gosh were they good.
