Market looking a bit iffy, at least the talking heads are creating demand for paper towels in cleaning up after themselves when salivating over all things inverted.
We seem to have been here before quite recently, good to stand back and get a handle on what is actually going on rather than be degraded by noise.
Garage if nothing else is quite aware of its many inadequacies, one we constantly think about is ‘trade management’, our normal emotional default being if we are up say 5 to 10%, we need a really good reason not to sell. (would suggest garage’s trans size > normal STT speccy bet, could be wrong)
When there is a bit of good old fashioned ‘fear and loathing’ around we all move closer to our emotional default settings, just humans channelling their ‘inner d#ckhead’ so to speak, this is serving the garage well atm but as you would agree not the ‘go’ in the market we just left over the last 6 months hence the constant thought. (harder with the bloody IQ downgrade I’ll tell ya)
Am intrigued by a few beaten down models atm. SDA, SLC & LON. There are good reasons they have no friends but also an element of the irrational concerning asset backing. (real not book)
The lads had a huge win this week, we have a deal with the BH, being that we are escaping Sydney when we both turn a certain age, her call till we reach that age as she is a professional girl and she enjoys it. Well…. she is enjoying it a bit less apparently and made the call, she will still do it but remotely.
She needs a small amount of time in Sydney ongoing so the hound and I will have a scope out one of those monkey boxes which seems to have popped up around the harbour that no ones allowed to live in for fear of falling down, the result of building certification changes to bring us into line with the global god given philosophy of $’s before quality apparently or ‘quick lets get it up while no one’s watching’ kinda sorta.
She is little bit concerned with this but the garage suggested all in the falling and rolling with the momentum to avoid injury when the inevitable happens, none of that 1.5 step netball mindset ‘hon’, this is Sydney 2019 ya gotta practice the art of a good roll and maybe wear thicker clothing to avoid undue scratching, no worries.
Team swinging into action before she changes her mind with the hound VP in charge of logistics and Frank his assistant, bit of a dispute in the rankings there amongst the boys but we got frank a little professional card gold embossed with title ‘assistant to head of logistics – garage move south’ and the little bloke tickled pink, grabbed it in his mouth and placed it at entrance to his pretend log god bless him.
Real estate guy reckons no need to advertise the abode, something about HK money, was about to suggest if they think Sydney is a sanctuary from encroaching Chinese influence they should think again but on reflection and with $ in mind decided to bite my tongue and let the thought go through to the keeper.
