Thanks for all the opinions and thoughts this weekend all. Decided to break everything down to the bare bones to see how I have really done over the 12 or so years I have been playing this silly game and how much it has cost me, slow learner I know but my excuse is I was working 90% of that time. Downloaded every confirmation from both brokers going back to my first trades which were buys of HEG (Hill End Gold) at 24c and GGP (Golden Gate Petroleum) at 3.7c. December 1 2009. Both would have been tips from The Speculator from The Eureka Report back in the day who I was blindly following. Lost on both, from memory that guy cost me a fortune lol. Anyway, bottom line is I have turned over a smidge over 2.2mil $ in that time, and the lesson has cost me just under 35k, so about 3k a year. Brokerage was about half that. Obviously just a tiny trader with an average trade of just 1200 bucks. Best year was last year with 45%, worst year was 2017 with -37%. Very interesting exercise to go through, and brought back some memories.
