Can't wait till our ASX eventually utilises blockchain technology as then no more T+2 settlements. Find it terribly frustrating at the moment waiting around for day's till settlement occurs as it negatively impacts my trading/causing missed opportunities etc.

ASX CEO Dominic Stevens has reminded market participants about the scale of its CHESS replacement project, saying the exchange’s enterprise blockchain to settle and clear the Australian equity market will host more value than all the public blockchains powering global cryptocurrency markets.

Describing the benefits of the blockchain ASX is building alongside New York-based Digital Asset – which plans to roll the system out to other global exchanges after the ASX launch in April 2023 – Mr Stevens said for the Australian equity market, “when you go to a distributed ledger, what you are going from is a unilateral with me to a multi-lateral relationship with the market”.
