Then you need to stop plugging in your cars to the grid to get the battery charged. Make them self charging.
This is a whole different kettle of fish, with a little matter of physics currently getting in the way.
However, I believe if there is a will there is a way, and somehow we need to make sure that those with deep pockets and vested interests do not get in the way of those that have the will to make this happen.
