Are we seeing the realisation that peak near term stimulatory global growth has peaked ? .. are there early signs of deflationary forces at work ?

As for Australia being doomed from Covid I think people need to get a grip. The rest of the world has been dealing with this for the last 18 months. They are still getting over 40k daily cases in the UK for example yet Covid is no longer front page news. People are learning to live with it, without (limited) restrictions, in many places throughout the world.
Yet we are loosing our minds with under 1k cases a day and keeping people locked up indefinitely in a perpetual state of fear while the rest of the world gets on with it.
Why do we no longer here about India? ..because they are actually doing pretty well now, but it doesn't get reported here, only doom and gloom.
We had our chance to be Covid free but blew it because we couldn't stop bringing people back into the country.. now we need to learn to live with the new dynamic. Yes people will get sick and some will die but these are the hard truths of a pandemic.
