Well generally speaking it takes a specific type of self centred, ego centric, greedy (ie, Snouts in the Trough), power hunger ,narcissist liar to become a typical run of the mill ASX Director (Not to be trusted generally)...and I think in general the posters on the Short Term thread at least seldom display any of these traits ...

Now I must say that with the right mix of the above ... and a realisation that to get filthy rich a director must gentle "stroke" their shareholders like a much loved cat instead of continually kicking them like a pesky stray dog then they could be destined for true greatness... IE Twiggy FMG, David Cottee Queensland gas for example ... both of which took ASX minnows into the Billion $$ club and made multi millionaires of many of the long term share holders... I think the main differentiator .. is liar or not. If you suspect your company dir is less than honest you must tread carefully!
