Hey guys ive found a new interesting indicator on HC, its a good way to see how many people are lurking in the background and gauge sentiment. I'm sure uve noticed that underneath the companies name in the individual stock threads it shows you how many posts have been made that month and how many "monthly visits" the stock threads had. Now the interesting thing is that the monthly visitors are unique visitors. Definition is bellow..
Unique visitor is a term used in Web analytics to refer to a person who visits a site at least once within the reporting period. Each visitor to the site is only counted once during the reporting period, so if the same IP address accesses the site the site many times, it still only counts as one visitor.
As an example ASN has had ~3,000 post for the month, but~32,000 unique visitors which indicates there is alot of eyes on the stock when you compare it to other stocks. This is just one example of how it can be used, get creative, just another tool to add the arsenal.
