For the sake of extreme potentials, here is the SPX monthly view from 2009.   You can see the 2009 and 2011 trend lines if you care for that method.   That would be 2200 and 2300 respectively.   Not trying to sow worry here, just correcting my previous post where I noted the 2009 trend. I am hoping we get something out of the Treasury Secretary or some other positive catalyst but just so you have these potentials in mind should things go sour for whatever reason.
