Unfortunately freedom does not guarantee fairness. It certainly helps, but ensuring the "fair" allocation of resources is another matter.
I believe we live in a relatively free and fair society. Both are moving targets and society cannot rest in trying to achieve this.
The only real issue with fairness I have is I cannot work out why say a top athlete is worth so much more than a teacher. The difference is too huge.
This is a problem I think we need to fix. We dont value social goods and services highly enough.
Maybe we arent taught right?
