Hey mate, just be careful you aren't mixing land value with resource/deposit value... Obviously depends on where you are in the country, but most (farm) land in country areas of NSW would be way less than $16-20k per acre... think more like a few thousand per acre. Only a deposit underneath it or close proximity to a metropolitan area would skew the value way higher than what it is worth as a primary production concern. So there isn't really any major intrinsic value in the land, but the deposit itself.
You'll find yourself 2000 acres out here in the central west for a small fraction of $40m!
