They you will get the success rates of picking the parameter with quite well . imo Like using just the one parameter filter down by using the days of new high . ie ten days will throw more stocks than one day .

Or you could open a new parameter box then choose new high longer date frame to sift with . The parameters sift in order of how you place them

For the other parameters to go with them say you need different scan altogether imo and possibly for you get better results .Also you may need look at different chart time frame for longer trends . ie a weekly for sifting a bigger pattern .

When you get multiple parameters you seem to get a lot of stocks your not looking for if thats the kind of success rate perhaps your getting? Thats not a bad thing imo . Just how it happens but allows you see how the scan reacts in different market conditions and also allows you to watch what ever chart tools your using to different patterns .

As for whether they are the best ones? I dont use any of the ones stated but also dont use them in my charts either . So if your trying tune your charts to a scan "vice versa" yes is good way to go .

They all take time to play around with and because the market conditions change they may not work currently but may work say six months time and throw i high percentage of what ever your looking for ?

Fire away with any questions i dont have any scientific mathematical stuff i work with but i do use linear movement and also volatility as prefered ones . I learn when asked also .

I keep refining all the time but at a slow rate and expect it will take years sift down to something i can do what i want and it wont be one scan but a scan that sifts the others as they move through different transitions .The holy grail !

Maybe a waste of time searching for it but i have good fun along the way . I get bored with it also

Repeat stocks i believe is also a good thing . ie they come in out of your scans over time . You kind of get know them a bit .

Awesome thanks valen1828. Really helpful info. I'll keep refining it and probably need to stop being stingy and pay for the premium incredible charts. Quite exciting when you find a pattern that looks good and then the next day the stock goes up.....but as you say the Holy Grail and Magic silver bullet are elusive. The other thing is looking at the FA to balance it up too I reckon. Plenty of great reading in the knowledge library to assist there.
