I have mixed with a lot of politicians from both sides a relative was a Federal member and my take.
They start off keen and wide eyed.  but the system blows them away.  Party politics and political correctness. They have the most boring functions as they are scared of making one mistake or view.  The Labor party is now full of 20 something kids out of Uni with heads full of sh--  The Liberals are full of failed business men, journo and ego wa--.   Think you can change it by voting for a fringe lunatic independent.   All we can hope for is they get back to being boring pen pushes that just make some rules and not stuff up too much.
Who really cares just noise, the markets started firing this week.   HTA, FOD, YPB, IPB all probably cra-  but
The older I get the more I think like a teenager.  I want it and I want it now, whatever, not my problem, somebody else stuffed it.
