Personally getting a bit fed up of internal spills in parties in OZ politics ... 5 leaders in 10 years we are a laughing stock. The Labour party instituted rules to limit the turnover of leaders after their debarkle...perhaps the Liberal coalition needs to do the same.

So Turnbull got the flick because he was too moderate a liberal. Chance of Turnbull (or any other liberal leader) winning the election after already having two liberal terms are statistically slim anyway 10%? If Turnbull had lost he would be gone anyway so perhaps just accelerating the inevitable maybe.

Although saying that Shorten was shooting himself in the foot a month or two ago and I though Turnbull's chances were higher 25%. It seems the motivation for many liberal backbenchers is a selfish one ... worried they would loose their seat/job and not worried more about governing the country or whats good for the country well thats how it seems (which is their job after all isn't it serving the country).?
