Hint of a Catch 22 in that conundrum DD.

Under duress from climate change....yet industrial nations need the raw battery minerals to make the final cross over & accelerate EV's in particular thereby reducing one element of carbon producing products & then combine with solar, wind & residential / commercial / grid battery storage in a step to reduce or slow said climate change.

Tough one as don't agree with exploitation of local environments, cultures etc. Must be a balance and companies must work with locals fairly and transparently to ensure not only security of supply chains but that these peoples are not just trampled on and resigned to the pages of history.

Obviously other competing and emerging technologies need to be brought forward & developed but will also need to be tested and weighed up as well against the inevitable impacts that come with any raw materials required to produce.

Hmmmm.....
