    A bit of market philosophy....

    When you plonk money down on a stock what you really are betting on is your own perception of reality.

    The market, eventually, prices things objectively. That fact is a marvelous way to correct one's wayward subjectivity.

    The big payoff shows up in our personal relationships. We hear each other but, because we don't necessarily share the same perspective, often we don't listen to each other. We value our own perceptions more highly than the views of others. The market is a great corrective for that automatic tendency.

    When you are active in the market you are constantly testing the veracity of your own perceptions about reality.
