Did you know ....that to the Scots the New celebration are bigger than Xmas ?...and to this day many Scots still open their houses to strangers to come in a have a "we dram" straight whiskey shot. Scottish folk start the party at about Midnight and it carries on through the next 24 hours... unlike us who finish the party at midnight. I like they way they think.

Perhaps the biggest street party is the one in Edinburough's royal mile in the lead up to midnight on the 31st Dec
