Sorry to hear about your loss, Don't want to get to personal/emotional but was in your position 3 years ago mate. Lost my older brother at 25 in a mining accident, and he left behind a young family.
Emotions will always be hard to control. Venting is a MUST, don't let it build up. Just cherish the good times/memories you have with them.
It definitely opened my eyes in how I want to live my life and as @Freehold said you can't quite live life like each day will be your last or you'll be broke. You can sure improve on it each day though by learning and growing as a person.
