Punters might take some solace in knowing that even the biggest and best of them get it wrong.
Just because someone is throwing around bigger chunks of money, or appears in the Top 20 of a company - doesn't for a moment mean they don't make bad calls.
The stakes changes, the practicalities are also a bit different. But selling out before a huge run is not something only smaller traders have to endure.. sometimes it takes big holders getting out at the bottom to 'release the brakes' and end supply.
Human nature just seems to be we talk about the winners, more than the looser. Optimism prevails I guess
