Couple of special thank yous. First to Minoil for running the 5 Grander. The skill to sit on a stock and let it play out was definitely a skill I did not have. I bought AGY early on in the 5 Grander, and I'm still in it. I think fear of making myself look stupid on the forum is the only reason I never sold.

Second thank you is to Freehold for running the STT Tipping Competition. To have gone on a little hot streak and picked a couple of winners has done wonders for my self belief, and I thank you for the opportunity.

For those of you sitting on the sidelines, make a New Year's resolution to participate a little bit on the STT. There's a great bunch of posters here and we're all trying to learn and improve. You might be surprised at the benefits you'll get out of it.

I've now finished a four month process of trolling through the ASX codes and beating some of Las Vegas out of my system. I think it worked. I feel like crap. I have so little adrenalin or excitement now. So many stupid stocks, so many people on forums sitting on 90% losses waiting for a hail mary, so much smoke and mirrors and hype, so many stunning mind blowing Investor Presentations. The speccie end of the mining sector especially gives me the pips. So much BS. How some of the more experienced tipsters here sort through that minefield and pick the winners they do is quite extraordinary.

So after all that, I'm running with AGY, AVZ and FZO, and I've come up with a short list that I intend to focus on in 2018:

AGY, AVZ, ARE / AIS, AL8, AUZ, BSM, FCT, FZO, LTR, SYT, TAW

Ha. You think and trade pretty similarly to me.. Great year, and a bit of fun along the way too PJ. Well done.

Fyi: I’ve added FBR to the ‘watch more closely’ list. Small pilot buy on Friday. A lot of cash on hand, some interesting sales and marketing opportunities ahead, current SP pretty close to the most recent placement price, management keeps getting ticks of approval from insiders and other commentators in the building sector. Recent Executive Appointment stated “...significant news in the pipeline” which caused a +18% SP rise and strong close - the word ‘significant’ is significant as CEO Mark Pivac is not one to throw around hyperboles..
